The Meadows School was saddened to learn of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on Thursday 8^th September, after seventy years of dedicated service to the United Kingdom and The Commonwealth.

We have reflected on the joyous celebration which we held in school to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in June. Everyone took part in a fun filled day ending with a Street Party in a very well garlanded school – the culmination of much Art and Craft work, and learning about the years of The Queen’s reign. This provided a wonderful memory linking school life with Her Majesty, that we can look back on with affection.
