Wintry Weather - 18/02/2019

< Back to the news< Back to the news

The mild Winter has lulled us into forgetting what Wintry weather is really like, until we were suddenly confronted by snow storms and icy conditions across the Staffordshire Moorlands, with considerable drifts in some places, making transport difficult.

Thank you to everyone for your support in the recent bad weather and especially the taxi drivers who battled the conditions to make sure everyone could travel to and from school safely. School staff continue to be vigilant and aim to keep parents informed of any weather related changes, as we keep the Health and Safety of all students and staff in mind.

We have students travelling from such a wide geographic area, and conditions can vary locally, which is the reason we have to take a measured view on closing the school.

Thank you again for your support.
