We are thrilled to offer our 'Congratulations' to all our friends at The Beatrice Charity, on their recent award from Her Majesty The Queen... This is so well deserved by all those volunteers who give their time, to enable young people to have the opportunity to cruise through the beautiful Churnett Valley, on board our favourite narrowboat. No matter what the weather throws at them, the volunteers are always upbeat and cheerful, welcoming everyone with a smile. The charity has been operating for 40 years, from it's

base in Cheddleton, and is well known to local people who enjoy walks along the canal.
